I woke at 4am this morning and I have my first pip of the hatch.
It's one of my shipped cuckoo marans eggs.
I have 9 cuckoo marans eggs and 8 of my own mutts.
It's going to be an exciting couple of days.

How were the color of the marans eggs? Its good that they made it to northern Idaho okay, hopefully mine will get to southern Idhao okay too! (If I order them from there)

The color on them was quite nice. You can see them at my web site.
Some one on this forum had posted pics of Meyer CM eggs before and I thought they looked good.
They shipped them on a Friday and I got them on the following Monday.
They packed them beautifully and they were all fertile, I did had 3 quit on me early on.
They said they would replace any that were cracked, too.
So, it's been a good experience so far, my first with shipped eggs.

now I have another cuckoo marans pip and 3 pips on my own little mutt eggs!
On my first hatch with this 1588 hovabator almost all of them hatched on day 21.
I made no adjustments on the thermostat but it seems like on this hatch I'm getting some early arrivals, hum?

Thanks!
Just had another little guy hatch from my own eggs.
Buff orpington dad and his mom is a silver-laced wyondotte x EE cross.
They are really pretty birds, we hatched a batch last month.
