Well i've made it to Day 20! had 12 eggs in the bator, and when i candled on day 14 i had 10 good ones that i could see moving about

candled them again on day 18, but the eggs were too full to see any movement, and then i put them into lockdown

had my temp steady at 37.5 all the way through (i think!) and the humidity was around 40-43% for days 1-17, then on day 18 i upped the humidity to 70% by adding sponges, then topping the sponges up with water through a straw in the vent hole

still haven't seen any rocking, or heard anything...i know it's still early days for them, but gosh it's worse than being pregnant lol!

i just have one question....i know that if (or should i say WHEN
fl.gif
) they start hatching, and the humidity will rise, do i just ALLOW it to, or do i crack the bator open a little to reduce the humidity back down to 70%?

This waiting is the worst thing in the world....i feel like i'm going and staring at the eggs every hour, willing them to move or do SOMETHING!!

I would like to know too .... just entered lock down today and this is the first hatch!!! ahhh super excitied!

Once the chicks start hatching the humidity could go up quite a bit. This is fine, but if it get's to say 90% and stays there awhile I would crack the lid open and let some of it out. 70% is a good percentage to aim for. Best of luck with your hatch!

thanks sumi....now i know why everybody says this is the hardest part...the waiting! the days are going by soo slowly now!

Only one more day to go
