Day 20 broody sick nonresponsive

No, don't pick her up! It may damage the eggs or hurt the babies. Repeat after me: I must NOT take a peek-a-loo. Hands behind you back.

darn- Ok I will not pick her up.

I know the babies tuck up underneath her and I might drop one. When will they come off the nest and start moving around?

After the last egg is hatched. She may tuck her head under her to remove the empty egg shells....that's when you'll get your first peek of all the action. If you do see empty shells you can gently remove them so she has more room for the babies.

Well they seem to be popping out pretty quick so maybe tongiht or tomorrow

All 8 eggs hatched! As soon as momma will let them out to play I will post a picture. Thanks very much to everyone who commented on this thread. Really encouraged me and calmed my nerves
