I wouldn't feed them layer... I would wait for good enough weather to go to the store! I have heard that if you feed little chicks layer feed it can do damage to their livers! You should be able to get out soon... Where are you located? Here in Maine the snow is still flying but we could get out in a few hours of work... Just a thought.

Remember you can feed them mashed up hardboiled egg yolks if you don't have chick crumbs...

Who can stand to do anything else but watch when those eggs start to rock !!!! I think xanax sprayed into the air might help, don't know. It's enough to make you crazy if you aren't already there. Congrats - keep pics posted!
