Day 20 of incubation

Hello out there
Day 20 of incubating eggs only have two left out of seven. My question is I know one of my eggs was very much alive 2 days ago, but I am in lock down so hard to see what’s really going on in side incubator. Should I see a lot of movement in egg at this point or are they still? I am worried chic has died. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Normally, a day 20 chicken egg would show a lot of movement when candled. The egg should have pipped, but incubator eggs are sometimes slower, or faster, depending on the temperature. A little too low and development may take longer. A little too high and development is just the opposite.

Ok thanks but what about movement inside ? Can it be like hardly none in preparing or positioning? The one egg seemed so viable (hope that’s the right term). Worried chicken mom.

Inside is what I meant. There should be quite a bit of movement inside as well as peeping and, or, tapping sounds when held to the ear. But again, development may be delayed.

You answered right first time it’s just me. So it is day 20 what would happen if I took out of incubator to look & listen? Bad idea? I should no do?

You can't see a pip mark? I can not advise on this as either way might be the wrong thing to do.
