Day 20...Six of Eight Hatched! Hatch Completed PIC

I know once they start to pip you start to worry about the ones that dont. Good luck on the hatch.

Cynthia,

I've managed to hatch a few of the Blue Orps. They were doing nothing until
I decided to intervene. There were live chicks under VERY thick membranes.
I've been slowly helping them out of their shells. I don't want to mention
any results yet since I have a bunch of yours' and Jody's alive but barely.

My whole point is try and help those chicks out, even if they haven't pipped yet.

I'm still here. A fourth Ameraucana has hatched. The first one, already in the brooder, is very black, but these three seem like they may be dark blue. They're still too wet to tell for certain. The last Amerauana is pipped and resting, but I'm still waiting for the two Blue Orps to pip.

Don, I'm glad you're managing to get some of these hatched. I've never had any trouble with the Orps hatching. My problem is getting enough eggs collected for myself, LOL. Keep us posted, okay?
