My bators are in my store room at school. They stay more consistently warm there than at home. Today is the day for my first 15. I have one that has zipped about 1/3 of the shell and no activity in the others. Since i was not here, I don't know when Norbert started working. I hear an occasional chirp. I am hopeful for a good hatch.

The EEs are due to hatch next Friday. Candling indicates quick development so they may be a bit early.

I'll be starting to collect your eggs in a week!

I am on my prep hour. I can't wait for the jaded high schoolers to gather around the bator in awe of the miracle of life. That is the truly cool part of this experiment.

I tried to help him out. It seems like it might not have been a great idea. He's laying there. Hopefully he'll pep up.

A tiny little bit of blood. I am not terribly hopeful. He is the only one to pip so far. I should have left him to work it out,, but who knows?

He is flopping around the bator. He still has a bit of membrane attached. Humidity is 45%. Tep is good. He's on his own from here on out.
