Day 21 and I opened to fill water

This is what one looked like after hatching. It has black and white feathers on its legs.

So at the end of Day 21, 5 of 7 eggs hatched safely. 2 unfortunately did not make it.
Adding together a solo chick that hatched a week ago, I now have 6 fuzzy little ones chirping up a storm.

Last night, I snuck them under a broody mama whose eggs had unfortunately all cracked as she had a leg injury and kept accidentally breaking her eggs. i put two fake eggs in place of all the broken ones and she had been patiently sitting on them for over 2 weeks.

This morning, she's the happiest mama hen ever she has lovingly adopted all 6 chicks.
