Day 21 and no chicks??

Today is day 21 and still nothing. Well, yesterday we watched three eggs rock a bit but now I am having doubts...did I accidentally bump the table or bator?? One egg, an ee egg, has a three corner chip in it and we watched it all night....no progress. So now I am thinking ....did I chip it and didn't see it before? it is a tiny chip...sigh. I guess later on today will show us for sure? There def. were chicks in all the eggs when I candled at 12 days. Temp is 97.9-98.1 and humidity is running between 67%-69%.

Maybe they are nice and snug in there and dont want to come out!

It may take a couple more days, OzarkHen. If that is your constant temp it is a little in the low range. They may be slow to hatch. Your temp needs to be up at 99.5 if you have a fan or 101 without.

Remember to sit on your hands. This is the part where you think you may have nervous break down watching those eggs.

Stay cool, Carrie. Mine always seem to pip then take the longest naps! Sometimes, 24 hour naps. Then they make a break for it. Nobody's late just yet, especially if your temps were low for a period of time.

Well, I went back to bed after seeing my dh off to work and finally fell back to sleep. I got up at 8 a.m. and let the dogs out and stopped and said to myself...what is that noise???

Woo Hoo, I now see where another eggs has pipped so I am on the watch again.
Thanks for all the advice. I documented each day. I guess the house being cooler..we heat with wood and like it cool at night...and being winter I needed to wrap a blanket around the bator. I made notes for next time.

Ozark, thats what mine did. I noticed a pip before I went to bed and woke up to no chick. It took until noon or better before more progress was made.
