The egg is on day 21, and on day 20 I felt it move and it was chirping, but no sign of pip. Today I went and checked on it in the morning and it wasn’t pipped nor was it moving or chirping. So then I let it be and went and checked on it later in the day and still no pip and I haven’t heard it chirp or felt it move. I’m not trying to give my hopes is but if anyone has advice or has to break the bad news to me let me know. 😬

I hatch tons of eggs, and if that was me, I'd leave it in there another day or even two. Sometimes they are sleeping when we're checking on them so no movement doesn't necessarily mean it died. That egg is so full, it's hard for them to move at the end as well.

I've had eggs hatch three days early, and three days late.

Thank you! I was planning on doing that. I’m just concerned because it hasn’t externally pipped yet. Do you have any answers on that or have experienced this before?

That's why I just leave those late bloomers in another day or two. If you want to give it until tomorrow and break in to determine if it's alive or dead, here's a great article about how to safely help.

But yes, happens a lot actually. I'll have 24 in an incubator, 20 hatch, then find out 2 died and 2 are just slow and eventually hatch.
