Day 21 egg explosion

Hi everyone
First time poster and first time incubating eggs. I’m on day 21 and have seen no action at all, no wriggling or pipping, noise, ect. Also I’ve had an egg that seems to have exploded but I don’t know I’m really concerned as what to do, should I take it out and compromise the other eggs as there in lockdown. I honestly don’t think I'm going to get any that hatch

Take it out, it has gone bad. The other eggs should be fine. I'd candle all the eggs briefly to see if there any pipped or rotten. when's the last time you candled?

Leaving the exploded egg in the incubator poses a much higher risk to the other eggs (bacterial contamination) than opening the incubator.

-When was the last time that you candled and did you see movement?

-What was your incubating temperature and humidity?

-Did you also have an analog thermometer and hygrometer inside to check for accuracy? Onboard incubator instruments are often not 100% accurate and can cause delayed hatches.

Take the egg out and while you're at it candle the rest of the eggs.
It will not hurt to candle the eggs/open your incubator quickly to grab an egg.

When/what exact day of incubation did the egg explode? Is the rotten content allover the incubator and the other eggs?

I would take out all the other eggs, candle them and in case none has pipped, wash them carefully with luke warm water, clean and disinfct the incubator and put the ones that look good back in the incubator.

It is necessary to clean and disinfect the incubator, otherwise the newly hatched chicks will crawl allover the nasty bacteria and get a severe umbilical infection that will lead to death a few days later.

Hi everyone
Thankyou all for the replies, greatly appreciated. I last candled the eggs on day 18 and marked out the air sacs and they seemed to be full, I did think on day 18 I saw one wriggling but since then nothing. I’ve taken out the bad egg and cleaned up the incubator as it did go everywhere! I also quickly candled a few of the eggs but nothing seems to have changed.

For how long was the exploded egg in the incubator?

If you cleaned and disinfected everything shortly after it happened, not all will be lost. I see at least a few eggs that seem not affected and clean.
