I am new to hatching, and its day 21 for me, and first thing this morning when I checked on the bator, I saw the eggs shake (like there was a slight earthquake) and have heard the first sounds of peeping. This is obviously the first signs that they are getting ready to pip, but what is an average time frame for things to start happening. I know it varies, but what has been your experience?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am waiting on blue and black orpingtons.....Thanks! Carol

My personal experience (4) has been that you have about 24 hours left to go and then up to 48 hours of hatching.

Depending how many eggs you are waiting on.

Happy Dust!!!
