Hi everyone, this is my first time incubating chicken eggs, i'm on day 22 and i haven't seen exeternally pipping :idunnobut when i wistle to the chicks they chirp, they started chirping on day 21. Should i worry,? I have to make a safety hole? and they also chirp low and not as loud as day 21:hit
Thanks for who replies.
Sorry if i wrote bad but i'm from Italy

hi! I'm from Italy too!
How high was the humidity? if it's too low they can have issues hatching.
how high was the temp? too low of a temperature and they can take longer to hatch.

I would wait and check-in tonight and then tomorrow morning.
Since none of them is hatching I bet they need more time to cook :)

hi thanks for replying, the humidity in lockdown was between 60% and 65% the temperature was 37.7 in te first 18 days, than on lockdown i change it at 37.5

When you first put the eggs in the incubator you should count that as day 0 and then count up to 21.
thanks, so i'm now on day 21, i hear them chirping loudly, but i don't know if they pipped the opposite side, the one facing the floor of the incubator, cause i can hear them really well, i started hearing them on the end of day 19, and now it's day 21, i should make a safety hole to make him breath? Sorry i'm soo worries

Wait a while until you make a safety hole. Sometimes it takes a while to get out. If you hear the chirp weakening, then I would be worried. If you make a safety hole, make sure you make a hole on the end with the air cell. Be careful.
