Day 21 on chicken eggs and nothing, what should I do?

I lean over the incubator and make cheeping noises. DH stands there and crows at them. Don't laugh. The crowing seems to get the eggs rocking more than anything else.

I'm not laughing... I'm too busy crowing!

My kids are laughing at me, though!

I hatched 34 out of 36 eggs two weeks ago. I never saw a wiggle or a peep!

If your temp was set a little too low, that may delay the hatch.
Keep us posted!!! We've rooting for you!!!

WHOOPS! I've been so busy *awwing* over my babies, I forgot to get online!

I originally set 9 eggs. There was a power outage on days 5/6 and I lost one, my DH decided to "test" one and it was developing - but not after he cracked it! There were some that apparently weren't fertile or just didn't develop and on day 18 when I candled, I had 4 that were kicking!

Of the 4, one hatched on day 23 and one hatched out on day 24. I did an egg-topsy and discovered that one died right after I candled it. The other one died right before hatch. It didn't break into its air cel, but it had absorbed the yolk. I had some issues (a 3 year old!) with the humidity and I'm sure the humidity went down and the membrane shrunk wrapped it.

The two that did hatch are still here and they're 3-4 days old.

One's name is "Pretty-ella" and the other one is named "Baby Chickie" (my rational 5 year old refused to name his until he finds out what the gender is!) They are a cross between an EE hen and a Dominique rooster.
