Oh! I checked my broody just now, 1 of the eggs is starting to hatch and I can hear the chick peeping inside the egg! Oh I'm very excited.

So, it's chilly tonight. Lows 30s highs tomorrow 50s. I'm safe to assume that mama will keep baby(ies) warm?

    Oh boy!

Yep, mama will do her job. Babies will be fine, as far as warmth goes.

    Congrats & Good luck! [IMG]

I've got 2 broodies sitting on eggs that are due to hatch this weekend. I check under the Mamas every day for newly layed eggs. It is sooo warm under there. I think your eggs and the chicks will be fine.

She will do just fine, they have been doing it for thousands of years without our intervention. she knows what's best for her and the chicks.

Ya i think they will be fine. I myself have heat lamps in my coops and im in surprise. I went out to the coop this morning and had to brake the ice on the waters. So its up to you if you want a heat lamp in there. It wont hurt if you do.
