Day 22: 1 pipped 24hrs ago, not hatched, 7 eggs no pip. What do I do?

We'll have 12 chickens in total. If two of them are Cockerels then we'll have 6-10 eggs a day which'll be enough for me, my wife and 6 kids. Plus we will always make more chicks too!

Sounds like my dream, but I don't think my garden can take more than 8 chickens (without them taking over ). Such a good plan, plus you can sell any left over eggs at a good price (people pay approx £2 per egg for fertile hatching eggs here in the uk, sometimes up to £4 )
