Day 22 and I’m worried about hatching

Ok thanks! I counted the first day as zero so today is definitely day 21. I made that mistake yesterday and was about to panic. I’ll leave her alone then. It’s really hard but i don’t think there’s any reason they shouldn’t hatch fine. I’m working on being patient and giving them time. It’s not very late into day 21 but I’m already getting so excited!
Oof, two days of panic stinks. But yes! You're doing well. They will hatch fine. :) A pullet hatching her own eggs is exciting!

Take a deep breath.... go for a walk.... fold the laundry.... watch football (oops, that can be stressful).... trust that your girl instinctively knows what to do. :fl :hugs Positive waves and hugs!

Things are happening!!!!
Omg! Really?! Thank you so much! You’re giving me so much hope and that’s honestly what I need right now! I tend to go to the worst case scenario and then I feel like none are gonna hatch. So yay! I was hoping that’s what that meant!

That's what I thought too! Eggs that didnt really move before might be moving, pipping, zipping, hatching now. Or she might be doing more to regulate temp and humidity.
Yay!! Either way that’s definitely good news!!

This may be an over the top suggestion but if you have one handy... checking in on them may not be possible and even if you really want to check in it depends how the chicken reacts to you checking in... Do you have a baby monitor? My sister did this with her goat that was having triplets.

Aww thank you! I’m trying to keep myself distracted. It’s so hard but I’ve managed not to bother her too much this far.

That’s actually a really good idea. I don’t know if it would work or not because it’s really windy today. I tried to listen for peeps but it was really hard. I might grab one real quick and see if it works though

Just a heads up if you have a rooster, make sure you turn your end off at night otherwise you will be up all night with his crows.
