Day 22 and I’m worried about hatching

Just a heads up if you have a rooster, make sure you turn your end off at night otherwise you will be up all night with his crows.
Oh no that sounds bad lol! Unfortunately I don’t have my rooster anymore. Which is part of why I’m super surprised to have eggs on the verge of hatching. I didn’t have a rooster for a few weeks when my hen went broody but she was still laying fertile eggs. Not sure how that works but I’m glad it did!

theres a time period where the sperm (is it called sperm in chickens?) is still in the hens body and she still lays fertile eggs, even if they arent actively interacting, so to speak.

One other question. So on day three of incubation my hen was off the nest for the night. Since then the eggs have obviously developed and are still alive but could they hatch late because they got cold at one point in incubation?

I am not sure on this.
What was the temperature that night? I'm just wondering if the temp and mom would've been too hot for the eggs so she stepped away.

I’m not sure of the exact temperature but it was cold. I don’t think it would have been too hot. I thought she was just gonna quit but she got back on the nest that day. I’ve heard that the temperature being cooler could cause them to hatch late but I wasn’t sure if several hours of being cold early in incubation would matter or not.
