What is this animal?

I checked my trail cam this week and saw an animal on it that I wasn’t sure exactly what it was. Does anyone have any ideas? Coyote, wolf or dog? Thanks

It definitely looks like a coyote to me. Not big enough to be a wolf.

Too small for a wolf. Ears are too short and shoulders too built up for a coyote. It's too healthy-looking to be a stray dog fending for itself. I'd say that's either a half-breed coy-dog or someone needs to keep their husky or shepherd mix in at night!

After looking at my own trail cam coyote/coywolf footage, I change my mind and agree with you. Coyotes have shorter fur (even in winter) and pretty distinctive long narrow snouts too.

My uncle who is a hunter said it looks like an old coyote to him

I have a similar photo here in Jersey. nighttime, it's a Yote. One thing about my shot and yours, there's no tines missing off the dinner fork.
