day 22 and no action yet

I always give it till day 25-26! I have had a few real late hatches! Like on day 25!!! I have had 1 set go completely silent until day 22 then that night they all popped out within 8 hours. Dont give up yet! My last set got lost in the mail and a few got crushed. I still put them in the bator and had 2 hatch out of 18! Stupid PO!!! But they are the sweetest lil hens you could ever want. My DW tried to get me to just toss the lot at lock down. I candled when moving them into the hatcher. When only 2 showed development she said " Just toss them all, they are prolly all dead any way!" Guess I showed Her! LOL

Good Luck and God Bless!

I am on day 23 of a mixed hatch, 7 Isa-Brown eggs and 25 Chantecler. So far I have had three hatch and one egg with a good crack started. Getting anxious! I am really excited about the Chanteclers!

. I opened the bator to put more water in and I picked up an egg to see if I could hear anything and I hear tap tap tap and there was a pip on the other side of it

...I was all but certain nothing was going to hatch cuz its actually the beginning of day 25.

We're on at least day 23. And that's not counting the few weeks leading up to when I THINK the hens started to get serious. I've found a few crushed and unbelievably smelly (awful) eggs. One had a little blood, but nothing else I could stand to get close enough to for a better look.

I am seriously thinking we're well past time when these eggs should have hatched. It's the hens first year, and I think they've left the eggs alone a few times, one time overnight.

I've tried candling but the shells are dark and I can't see a thing. Should I leave the hens to figure out when to leave the nest, or take the eggs and bury them?
