A wet rag? I'm not sure what you mean? I've been putting a small amount in a cap and putting the beak in it, is that ok? It all about learning

it means to soak a rag in water and wrench the water out making it damp were its not dripping

please need advice fast! im going into lockdown but i timed badly on the eggs i got duck eggs while the chickens were close to hatching i didnt know i had to remove the egg turner now im stuck how can the duck eggs turn while the chickens eggs lay flat! i removed 3 turner racks but their are plastic lining from the turner on the bottom which would prevent the eggs from moving around during hatching should i put aspen bedding over the plastic lines.!!!!

Thank you I will change that for sure!!! It's sad that the chicks have to learn from my mistakes

I have one more in this cluster of eggs. Then wait for a week, so I will adjust the heat and hopefully get a better result!!

1 question, how do you introduce water?

Dipping the beak in water is fine and exactly how I do it. Or you can dip your finger in water and let him peck it off of that.
