Day 22 and no pip

I kind of have the same issue. 6 out of 12 have hatched so far. Today is day 22. One egg pipped a hole and for awhile I saw movement then nothing. It has been over 8 hours and still I see no movement. in the egg and the pip has not changed. I am hoping the chick is just tired. I will need to pen the bator soon to get the babies out so they can get drinks and eat but I am afraid to open the bator with that one pip

I always have a misting spray bottle handy. I put warm water in it and when I open my hatcher and remove the chicks. I then mist the eggs and the humidity recovers immediately. I had a couple of eggs a couple of days ago that had pipped but no activity all day long. I left them alone and went about my daily chores. They still had not hatched in the evening but one had made the pip a little bigger. In the mean time I had some other chicks hatch out and the last time I had check there were still a couple of eggs that hadn't pipped. I went to bed and got up early the next morning and all of the eggs had hatched. I was prepared to assist but they fooled me and had hatched during the night. Good luck and have fun...

2 of the eggs have almost zipped out. Did you remove babies when you had pipped eggs in the bator? I normally buy my chicks but this time I decided I will hatch them myself

I take the chicks out and mist the eggs still in the incubator. I have been doing weekly hatches. So far all of the viable eggs have hatched. I did have some that weren't fertile when I candled them and took them out and put the viable ones in the hatcher. All have hatched. More due to hatch on Tuesday.

:(Still no movement. So i decided to try to assist. I could def tell they were dead. So i ended up opening the eggs all the way. They had not observed their yolk sacks at all.:(

day 22. 8 out of 12 chicks so far. Will give the last 4 eggs a day or two before I evict them. New babies in the brooder all doing well so far. We will see in the morning

Get anymore today? We just got 10 more eggs to start incubating yesterday locally. I’m crossing my fingers some are fertile!

Have one that has pipped. 4 sitting in the incubator. I get 3 fertile eggs daily so I am collecting again. I am trying to get my brahma numbers upI have eggs waiting. The babies are so cute. where are you located?

Well if you were closer I would say come get some fertile eggs. My hatch is done. I started out with 13. Each egg was dipped into a bowl filled with peroxide to disinfect before they went into the bator, 12 made it to lock down. One egg did not develop. 1 egg hatched day 20, day 21 I had 7 more hatch, day 24 1 more hatched. I candled the remaining eggs and there was no longer life in them. So out of 13, I have 9 chicks. I started with a humidity at between 40 and 45, then lock down I brought it up to between 60 and 65. The temp fluctuated between 99.3 and 100.6. One day it shot to 104 and I went into a panic. This was before lock down and I had no clue how long it had been that temp but I had a hard time getting it regulated. I candled all the eggs right before lock down and all were viable. I am using a little giant 9300 still air which is Styrofoam, so I poked more holes down the bottom and rigged up a tube so I could fill water bins without opening the bator. I had a sponge inside right under a hole that was already in the bator and I shoved a small funnel into the hole and used a tennis ball as its lid. I could easily pour warm water to bring up humidity or lower it at will. This helped immensely with my humidity issue. I will bury the eggs that did not make it ( I know, I am weird like that ). I am now waiting for this last chick to dry so the baby can go out with the others. Then I will clean and sanitize the bator and start another batch.
