Day 22 chick #2 hatched.

Well I decided to intervene. All dead in shells with most not having the yolk all absorbed . I managed to save one silkie from Lydia Webb. I saved about three RIR's that I was hatching for some one so I think I have 5 RIR's out of the hatch I had one big splash Orp that had zipped half way around but was dead. I feel bad about it since I am used to getting such good hatches. I have two more hatches then I am letting the hens do the rest since it is warming up.

*hugs* im sory, i know how sad it is to see those beautifull little babies not make it. I definitly plan on using broodies this spring and summer to hatch eggs. I know they are developing.......i had 11 shipped blue / splash /cooco silkies in the bator, candled them yesterday 7 swimmers 4 clear.

Question........i have some eggs that i need to move from bator to hatcher, these eggs in there now are finally starting to hatch. I was going to wait till this evening to move them (19 eggs) but should i wait till tomarrow morning? I set them late in the evening on day 1.

mmmmmm maybe that is it, i set this batch late in the evening also, maybe this is really for them day 21?
