Quote: Luckily it was not too severe and it did clot quickly. It is very difficult because I get easily stressed out when hatching peachicks, and seeing the blood makes me feel very nervous but it is reassuring when the peachick wiggles and peeps letting you know it is still okay. This is mainly the reason why I like letting the peahens hatch their own eggs, but to get a very friendly peachick the best way is to hatch one yourself and have it imprint to you. I know that once all of this drama is over and the peachick is out it will probably be a very friendly bird which is what my boyfriend is looking for. He is going to wake up a few times tonight and check on it too.
Edit: I also have a topic on this on the UPA forum and I am getting some good help there too right now... Here is an older topic someone told me about that has helped a lot too: http://upaforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=1688&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
