It’s under a broody not incubated

I haven’t candled recently as thought you shouldn’t touch after day 16, do you think ok to candle? I suppose not much to lose!

I candled - literally nothing to see completely dark. Think I could make out a small air sack. How many days should I wait until discarding? Thanks for your advice as always!

i would not discard it until day 23 to 25. don't have too high of hopes for it.

Often moms sit but don’t start the incubation period until they build up the nest
My duck sat for 5 days but didn’t actually start her eggs till she was done laying. Really confused me
Duck eggs take 28 days but her baby hatched day 30 but in reality it was 35 days from when I first saw her sitting
If the egg is dark there is something in there I would give it more time
