Hello All!
I have 24 eggs in the bator, its day 22 and not a single pip. I candled eggs a few times and saw development. Humidity about 30-40% first 18 days then bumped up to 60-70% last 4 days. Temp is correct and auto turner was used. The only thing I'm second guessing is the wet bulb hydrometer. I would think I'd at least get a pip or two even if the hydrometer was off a little. Any Ideas? Keep them in bator or are they done? Thanks

J

Hi, yesterday was day 22 for me -- no pips. I got the first one in the morning, and had a chick hatch by 9 am. Then 2 more later in the day. Today I have one trying to zip (day 23) and 6 more (that were developing) not pipped.... So hang in there they may just be a little late like mine were.

I WOULD KEEP THEM IN THE INCUBATOR FOR A FEW MORE DAYS. I have learned from experience. Just this week, i had a dozen chicken eggs supposed to hatch on tuesday. Once it reached yesterday, my mother and I started breaking open the eggs to see if they had any development in them. Well, turns out three of the 12 were still alive and were about to be born because one chick already had most of its yolk absorbed. I suggest keeping them in the incubator a little while longer.

Well, as I continue to read threads I see alot of people are in the same boat! I remember have a hen set on eggs that didn't hatch for 27 days, I thought she would have given up but I guess they can sense or feel the eggs are still good
