I ordered from cumberland and it took over 3 weeks to get my eggs on northern bobwhites. I thought that something was wrong with my bank card because they never took the money until they shipped, which i guess is good. But, I got a lot of infertiles.
Lake Cumberland is a good hatchery. But make no mistake, they usually are not fast, and they never take payment until ready to ship. They also only use their computer for receiving orders, I'm not even sure they know you can communicate 2 ways with a computer
But they will fill your orders and ship when they can. I have used them over the years with very good results on more than 1 occaision. As worldling covered these arent widgets.... You're at the mercy of birds, and not only that, female birds, that can be quite finicky at times. They dont stock pile eggs, orders are served 1st come basis. And then add in specific ship dates, and only being able to ship reliably on certain days of the week.... It can certainly get hectic quickly. But it would be nice if we could at least teach them to use email!

Yea, they are not the best with e-mail, I thought there was something wrong with my order since status check showed "waiting for bank authorization" then after 1 week it changed to "waiting to be shipped" so there is a hope LOL.
Obviously I understand they are on the mercy of hens, weather etc. but they could communicate with the customer better, I do not mind waiting as long as I am informed about what to expect.
Unfortunately pascopol they have never been ones for effective communication. A good hatchery and source of eggs--- nice stock at that, but they have always sucked with communicating for as long as i can remember... If your search byc you'll find this is a chronic problem with them and many many folks have complained about it here...
