i had 19 eggs in the bator due to hatch yesterday, they started a day early and were all done yesterday except two. no pips from those two still today. should i assume they are not going to hatch? what do i look for if i candle?

I'd give them more time because occasionally you get late hatchers, but if so many hatched early there's less of a chance. With no pips you are safe to candle (they will not dry out). Look for veins or movement, basically. You should be able to see veins around the air cell if your flashlight/candler is powerful enough. If not, even a large and slanted air cell would be a good thing to look for, which would signal the possible beginning of hatching.

You shouldn't really be able to see anything in the egg if your on day 22 and they are good eggs. IT should be all dark with a chick in it. If you see movement they are running late. I have left eggs in up until day 25 and they have hatched.

But like adrian said if so many hatched early there's less of a chance. But it doesn't hurt anything to wait a little while longer.

Good Luck. Let us know how you make out if you candle.

Sorry about that. It really sucks when that happens.

I would wouldn't give up for at lease two more days.
What incubator did you use? Perhaps radiation from the heating element was your downfall?
