Day 22!

Ok so this is my first time trying to hatch eggs! I feel like a complete failure. It’s day 22 and still nothing. I have BCM eggs, I did notice the humidity is a little higher sitting around 75-77 did I just kill my eggs? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

No, the humidity cannot kill them. If your temperature was slightly on the low side then they just may be a little late. If none have externally pipped you can carefully candle them, but make sure you keep the eggs in the same position as they are in inside the incubator. You should be able to see if any chicks have internally pipped. You'll see their shadow beak in the air cell. Chicks can hatch out just fine even if they have taken a little longer. 21 days is just an average, not written in stone.

As long as none have an external pip it's fine to open the incubator to do what you need to.

So I looked at 3 and 2 I could not see in at all! One looked like nothing was in it. Ugh I’m so confused and worried

This stage is always a stressful time. Had you candled at all during incubation? Sometimes eggs don't develop or stop early on for various reasons. Shipped eggs can get damaged internally on their way to you and it's common for them to stop developing in the first week. If you leave them in the incubator the bloodring fades and they can look like they never developed.

If they look full and dark that's a good sign. Sometimes you can see them pushing at the air cell. I find that dead chicks look very black and lumpy and there's often a watery layer between it and the bottom of the air cell with no veins visible. A live egg has a reddish glow to it. I use two light sources when candling my eggs - one behind and one on the fat end where the air cell is. The colour of the shell can make it very difficult to see inside.

Sometimes eggs can take up to 25 days to hatch out so there's still hope for your eggs and the fact that two were full and dark is a very good sign.
