Day 23--got a pip in my mini-bator!!!

No--I've been thinking I saw a blood ring for 2 weeks but I had never incubated before so I just left it in there. It's 4 days late so I gave up on it. I didn't think the other egg was good either because I could never see veining!!!!! Glad I didn't throw it out

I don't know when I'll add more eggs--I think I'll wait a little while. I think 3 eggs would be an extremely tight fit--that's why I only put 2 in. It's perfect for me cause I really don't have the coop space to add a whole bunch of new chicks--just 1 or 2 here and ther is fine with me!!

Do you already have one or looking to buy one? If you don't have on yet Stromberg's is the cheapest with shipping included in the price.

I have a home made bator Im testing on 2 slightly cracked eggs and my LG should be here monday so I can load up the other 14 eggs befor they get to old. My feed store has the little dome ones like you have but when I first looked into everyone said they didnt work so I orderd the LG.

There are some people that are way serious about hatching and have those big giant sportsmans etc. Even my LG is to big as I don't usually incubate over 6 or so. I have to put water bottles in it to take up some space and they absorb the heat to keep it stable.

If your just incubating a couple now and then. That should be fine. Some of us do it for fun and hobby not big business so you just have to consider the source.
