I had a chick hatch on day 21 and its healthy, but the other 13 eggs haven't hatched yet on day 23, there was also no sign of life or movement, so I cracked one open
And found a dead chick
PS my temp dropped to 90 during lockdown but one of the chicks hatched, how come the others won't???
This is a pic of the chick I cracked open to

Ong I don't think the drop in temp would do that
Do you think this chick could have hatched??? I'm just too impatient and I need to figure out what's wrong with these chicks! It just doesn't seem right

I do not think it would have hatched did it get that cut when you took it out or was it already there. It looks like it did not form right and had been dead for a while

I would give the others a little longer and keep a close eye on your one chickie. We're the eggs shipped?

That's not a cut that's where it's neck was, but why did one of the chicks hatch? And the rest didn't yet, should I leave them in longer??? Is the egg shell too thick??

The chick is as big as the one that hatched and is alive

I got the eggs from a farmer because I don't have a rooster, but the chick that I hatched is healthy and I bought him 5 white leghorn friends that just love him!! Haha it was getting lonely so I solved it
