I created the showgirl, the original was an all white silky with an all white turken, created over 10 years ago, the original grandchild are still around, however my husband and I are now trying to cross the turken, with a polish. The two would make a beautiful pair, I have an all black turken and an all black polish, that I will be crossing, then I have a buff polish and a buff turken that I will also be crossing. I will then take those breeds, and breed them back to the turken, then back to the polish, to get a pure 2nd & 3rd generation polish/turken cross, then taking those babies and breeding them together, we're talking 4th & 5 th generation, once breed back to each other, the babies, the 5th & 6 th generation would be pure turken polish mixed, and could then be patient and sold as an original bird, however your talking 6-8 years of breeding to create a new generation of birds. The showgirl I didn't name, but I did create the breed, in Branchville Virginia. Hence originated in southern VA. But besides the point. U can create a pure bird, that can create a naked neck, with a poof head, it will just take years. Just like it took 4 years to make the original showgirls, because I wanted them pure white. Unfortunately someone messed that up .
