Day 23 in the incubator and still alive.

No miscount. I go straight down the calendar. Have done many batches in that incubator. That incubator is the most reliable one I have ever owned. My only guess is that because there was only one egg(I have never done less than a full load) the temp didn't stay up. I have added three other eggs to the bator, so once she was free of the shell, I went ahead and moved her and her shell out of it to keep turning the others. She has dried and I got her hot, and had to move her away from the heat lamp. She is a noisy thing(lonely?) I wrapped her in a wash rag to enough extent that she feels like a mom is bundled with her, but I hear her chirping already...guessing she has trucked it out of there already.

thats pretty awesome. i made a mama for mine with a styrofoam ball and a bunch of loose feathers laying around they loved it. lol put hard stiff feathers on the outside like legs so it wont move around too much and the softer as you go to the middle
