I have had my eggs in the incubator for 24 days now ... we did the float test yesterday and they were all low floaters. I am feeling a bit anxious whether or not they are going to hatch. It is also a project I am doing in my classroom. I’m debating on bringing the incubator home this weekend in case something happens because I can’t get into the school on the weekend. Should I bring it home? Should I call it quits? Thanks! This is my first time 😊

Welcome to BYC! I don't have any faith in the float test, don't trust those results. Can you candle the eggs? Do you have a calibrated thermometer and hydrometer in your incubator? What breeds are you hatching? Definitely bring the incubator home

I did candle on day 17 before lockdown. Should I candle them again? I honestly don’t know the breeds. The farmer I got them from said they were barnyard mix? My thermometer and hydrometer were calibrated too!
