Today is day 25 for my first batch of eggs I'm incubating. My power did go out for about two hours about two weeks ago due to terrible weather. I heard my first chirp two nights ago but I thought they would have made a pip by now. What should I do?? Is this normal to hear them chirp this long without hatching?

When they chirp from inside of the egg, this means they have internally pipped (pecked through the air sac and are breathing). From internal pip to external pip can take a while.
A lot of times the first sign of an external pip can be very slight and you may not be able to notice it right away. It is definitely a great sign that you can hear them chirping. That means they are alive, and you should hopefully have babies soon!

Good luck, and keep us posted!

What kind of eggs are they?

If it were me I'd be chipping into the air cell end but that is just me. They say not to do that but I have to know when to give up on them.
