Can you candle them without opening the incubator or removing them from the incubator? Thats what I did. (I could see them moving/breathing by candling through the clear plastic incubator) Mine took probably close to 36 hours from external pip to hatching. I just hatched 6 a little over a week ago.

I'm pretty new to ducks, and have only hatched them the one time a little over a week ago. So I'm not particularly helpful, I just know mine took a while. Can @nchls school help? They answered my questions. You could also post in the incubating forum, I did.

My last hatch externally pipped late Sunday night/early Monday morning. The first duck hatched 11pm Tuesday and the last duck hatched 5am Wednesday. And they didn’t start zipping until an hour or so before they hatched so I think you’ve still got time until you should start worrying, but it’s your call! We’ve done 3 different hatches and I’ve only had to assist once. Ducks are sooooooooooo slow! In my opinion lots of people intervine/assist to early. But maybe someone more experienced here has some better advice?

Sooooo 2 have hatched so far! Do I need to do anything with the temp? It's at 37.5c
