Day 26 Incubating Duck Eggs Dark Spot

Today is Day 25 of hatching my Pekin duck eggs. I woke up this morning with this one having a large dark spot. Is it bad? I’m just worried about it exploding. There were no smelly eggs yesterday when I bumped up the humidity for lockdown.

Did you candle them before lockdown? That can be bacteria forming in the egg, but it might be a little late now... I've had a few of those eggs and usually they end up dead. Hopefully that's not the case for your eggs, though! Maybe it's just the air sac showing a weird color from an angle?

So I did some research and apparently duck eggs commonly bruise so that can be a possibility as well, don't stress and just pray for the best! I'm right there with ya!

Nope it ended up exploding. I did have 3/6 hatch- some success Atleast

It was an emotional rollercoaster we had 2 hatch early and the rest didn't hatch second one needed help and needed extra care the first few days he was tiny but I'm very happy these two are alive
