Hello everyone.

I am currently hatching a group of eggs. So far 2 have hatched. One on day 21, and the other on day 24. I now have one egg left in my incubator.
Now about this egg...... I have been candling the egg to make sure that it is still viable. I see a perfect aircell. When I hold the light just perfectly you can see slight movement, but no chirping.
My question is WHAT DO I DO???? Do I continue to be patient and just wait? Do I assist??? Does anyone know what the longest amount of time it has taken for an egg to hatch? From previous research I have found day 25 to be the last.
Just want some good, solid, knowledgeable advice.

Thanks to all of you who give me some assistance.

Eggs that go this long without pipping are usually dead in shell. It usually results from rapid maturation and humidity issues. If it is still alive I'd crack open into air cell.

My last ten eggs never hatched after 27 days. I had the grisly job of checking each egg. Most were under-developed but three were moving and slowly died, it was horrible. My new batch are at day 22 today. There are eight eggs. I've candled them all and they are fully formed with a small air cell. I don't knw what to do but I wish they'd hatch! My daughter was so disappointed after the last batch so please God they'll make an appearance this time.

Well, I ended up having to crack into the egg only to find that it didn't make it. The chick was quite large and the yolk was not completely absorbed into the abdomen yet.
The eggs were in a Hovabator forced air incubator and I followed the instructions to the T on when to increase the humidity and stop turning them.
I guess the poor lil guy just wasn't meant to be.
Next batch of eggs is scheduled to hatch on Sunday. We shall see what happens.
Thank you guys for your assistance.

Yes. There was an auto turner for them that I removed on day 18 and then placed them on their side with the pointed end down.

Also, I do not have a humidity detector. Wish I did, but didn't, although I followed the instructions that came with the incubator as to when to increase the humidity by adding additional water to the second channel in the bottom.

I do have another question though..... this is about the next set of eggs that I have in the incubator at this time. We are on day 16 with them. When I was candling the eggs today I found that one of them has two air cells?! My daughter swore up and down around day 7 that she thought she saw two embryos in that egg and I wasn't sure. That same egg now has two air cells. No, this is not a saddled air cell either. It's completely separate from the other air cell. One is where it is suppose to be and the second is attached to the side wall of the egg. Thoughts anyone??? I personally don't believe that two chicks could survive one tiny shell like that.
