So it’s officially day 27 of my incubation period, and I’ve seen no signs of movement or pipping of the egg. Is this normal?

Depends on what your incubating. But I assuming chicken, no this is not normal the eggs are most likely infertile, duds, or just bad. The chances of anything hatching past this date is very unlikely.

It’s ducks. Said the normal hatch time is 28 days, and they are showing signs of growth inside the shell.

Yeah but I just expected more activity at this point. Maybe some internal pipping?

Normal guideline is 28 days, and normally we do see some pips by day 27, but it all depends on your incubation process. What type of incubator? What temp and humidity did you run?
Also, are you sure about the day count? Day 1 doesn't start until 24 hours after starting the eggs. It's an easy mistake to make, so just confirming. :)

Ducks test our patience, so you could be in for a long wait.

Good luck!

I think I may be a bit ahead in the days... it’s probably more like day 26. Also, I think the humidity was too high. It was in the mid 80’s all throughout the incubation period, which I’m starting to find out might be a problem.
