Day 27 for call duck eggs when to HELP them ????

On day 16 the embryo is just about fully formed and starting to turn towards the fat end of the shell. Please don't candle or disturb them much during this time, since if they get turned around in the wrong end it could mean a disastrous hatch.

"Is it close"? Not even remotely. :p In another week, maybe!
Well I wouldn't call it a desastrous hatching, more like OMG, its time to assist... LOL..... I'm not saying assist right now, I'm saying once it's past the due date and they are upside down or having some technical difficulties..

Ok, thank u. I lost the detached air sac one

. Couldn't see any movement and wasn't progressing. So right now we have 4 eggs left. They are growing and so far doing great. Lacrystol, would u like me to post the videos for their update Sunday, tomorrow or Monday? I'm afraid for the one with the whole side air sac, that's what it is right? Should I have all of them big side up right now all the time, which is the air sac side? If so how should I put that little guy? With one whole side of airsac and the big end too? I have stopped sponging it daily, is that ok? I have one with a small airsac, which I will show on the next round of videos. I think I need to increase his sponging to 2 times a day. Can u tell me if I should?

So I also just bought a space heater for the bathroom, where I have my incubator. I went ahead and just marked all the egg's air sac with a pencil and took video of the small air sac and the large air sac with the babies moving. I won't sponge the large air sac until I hear from u and I will sponge the other twice a day until then also. I just need to know how I need to have them angled and when u think I should stop turning? Also my temp stays 100.5-101 is that good? And I read that the last 3 days u want to have the temp about 99.5, is that right? They're getting so close and with 4 left I really want them all to survive. Thank u for all ur patience and help!

Do not worry about side saddle, that's the one with the air cell to the side, he'll be ok. He's probalby going to peep the earliest, sometimes that happens with shipped eggs. Nothing to worry about as long as they keep progressing.,,

No they all should be laying down..

When is the due date? Why did you stop sponging??

Ok if they have four days left, they should be laying down with the larger end slightly up, you can stop turning them on this day do not lock them down. And no keep you temp where it's at DONT change a thing..

The only problem now is you have changed your temp and don't know it. Get the space heater out, don't make any adjustments, keep them going as is. The space heater will change your temp and could cause your BATOR to go hay wires. I do not lower my temp it stays the same throughout the entire progress.

You need to keep sponging as normal, if your doing it once a day keep doing, don't make any changes at this point in time. There's no reason too...

The one with the air cell that is small don't worry about it, that air cell is probably at the normal size with less damages from shipping. It will change once he's ready that is if he's not sticky.

Please don't make any drastic changes, they don't need it. Have you ever heard the saying if it's not broke don't fix it. Well your fixing something that's not broken. Lol

If they are still going, then that means everything is perfect, so why would you think differently?

Your not in a dark enough room for me to tell if there's going to be a problem or not. The large air cell guy looks as though he maybe dipping some what, which is a good sign he could be early... But still give them there due date..

Ok, so today is day 20. I think I need clarification on what others talk about when they say lockdown? I'm attaching video for all 4 eggs. Each video has different egg.
Friday will be day 23 so Thursday we will stop turning, right?
The reason I had to add the space heater is because we got some bad weather, snow and below 0 temps. When my dimmer was as high as it could go that still wasn't enough to get it to 100. So I got a space heater, which has a thermostat to adjust at what temp it comes on. So it only comes on at the lowest temp in the bathroom. I have a thermometer in the incubator and this has helped hold the temp from 100.5-101.5. I had no choice to add the heater. Remember I don't have a traditional incubator I have one that I made out of a styrofoam ice chest and my husband made me a dimmer switch to help me keep the temp steady at different outside temps. It's been a life saver.
Ok, so on sponging them. Should I be sponging even the ones with a side saddle? I thought I didn't want it to get bigger so I haven't been. But if I need to sponge them once a day let me know and I'll start doing them all. I've only been sponging the small airsac, which has grown, and the small egg.
Last, I'm very worried about the egg with a very dark vein. It has such a large airsac, bigger than the other side saddle. I have a hard time telling movement. We think there is movement but can't swear to it. What's ur thoughts?
Those r my questions for this.

Ok Thursday will be four days before there due date on that day, stop turning them, have them with the larger end slightly up. Keep sponging them though, treat them as normal, your just giving them an extra day to get into place.

Let me check out your videos now...

None of your eggs should be in a turner, if they are you could have issues.

Yes you must keep sponging them, Friday you will need to get ready for lock down, lock down is when you quit sponging them and get that humidity up, we need it at about 60 to 65.

Ok now I see why the heater, good choice!!!

Your first video is excellent, he's doing great, he hasn't dipped yet so he's not quite ready yet. I can see him pushing on the membrane which means he's trying to get comfy and ready. He's filled up that entire shell so there should not be a sticky problem with him. He looks SOOO happy...
