Day 27 of first ever incubation...

still air... and the thermometer is very accurate... i added my own thermometer because the ones that came with the incubator were junk..... i didnt think of it for the first 3 days or so... then checked it with my good one.. had to turn it up a notch.. but has remained constant since at perfect temperature.. do you think the 3 days with the low (only like 4 or 5 degrees) could be making them run late?

the incubator is still air Little Giant and i had a turner to go with it. i purchased the incubator at the local tractor supply company. i followed all of the directions _ initial few days used the two thermometers provided. filled the water compartments (little grooves under the mesh) with water and maintained it. after a few days i checked the temp with very accurate candy thermometers and found that i needed to increase the temp a few degrees which i did. on day 17 i removed the turner and went into lockdown as per the directions........ day 21 not even pipping.
two days ago cracked an egg found that the yolk was not fully absorbed and there was still blood. chick was nearly fully developed and ALIVE.......
day count is right on.
