You do have the worst luck with pea's Kim. You need to make that road trip to Chocowinity. We have a bunch of IB chicks right now and I have Sharon "sitting on some eggs". All we want is another trio of IB's and the rest are for sale.
We have had mixed results on buying and shipping eggs. The first ever we got 3 out 4 eggs to hatch - they were supposed to be all IB's and we ended up with one Black Shoulder and 2 IB's. we traded the BS for an IB from Iona. 2nd time we bought eggs zero hatch. this year we bought 6 and 3 developed. 1 was pipping last night - hopefully it will be out today.
We also ship eggs so we understand the risks there - this was the first time ever ordering chicks and it worked out very well. I have noticed they are more flighty than the ones we hatch out but that's no big deal once they settle in they will get better.
