Day 30 chick!

This one hatched today, 30 days after we first noticed mama on hens, three days after the clutch started hatching, and two days after mama abandoned the last 4 eggs. We moved those last 4 into the incubator as one had pipped. Three of those hatched, one was dead. 10 of 12 of the clutch in total wound up hatching. One of those likely would have hatched, but I checked one on day 25 before throwing them all out and found it alive.

This egg was probably laid at a later date, by another hen. That is why you have chicks hatching at different times.

I had 2 hatch on day 28. One seems fine. One is very under - sized ( even for a bantam) and has some leg/foot problems. We've got his/her legs splinter to hopeful help out. Let us know as yours developed how it is doing.
