Day Old BO-pwr outage-affects broodr-now warm-how to save stressed chk

I adore you folks, I truly do! I am so thankful for all the time you took to reply to my crisis and for all your great advice.

So far so good. I "fed" her a few times yesterday- a little sugar water and the food made into a slurry- By last night she was feeding at the trough with all her little buddies!!!

At 4 am I went in and she was peppy and virtually indistinguishable from another chick.

Right now my 4 yr old and mom are hanging out with Charlotte Hope (I think we'll eventually pare that down to Lottie) and her pals Frieda Freckles (who seems taller and bossier than her friends already on her 3rd day in this world-2nd in her brooder here), Henrietta (doesn't every flock need one?) and Lucy (who still has a piece of her egg tooth

).

Oh, I so hope they all make it and I sooooooo wish I had more room here. I can tell chickens are going to be addicting! I find myself daydreaming (already!) about homesteading in a yurt on 10 acres in the middle of nowhere surrounded by dozens of chickens...

Thank you once again and best wishes to you all,
Sarah
