was lucky enough to find tsc with great selection! Any ideas on this one? It has slate, feathered legs but no 5th you're like silkie. Maybe Cochin?

Silkie its just hatchery quality so genetically it didn't get the 5th toe.

Yep, its a Silkie. Sometimes chicks from the best breeder birds don't get a fifth toe, luck of the genetic draw. Its a cutie!

]I am not a bantam person, but it doesn't look Silie to me. I am thinking Porcelain. What kind of comb does it have?

I'll try get a better pic. I just thought it looked alot different than the chick that I got out of the same Broder that is a very clear silkie. I wouldn't be surprised though.

It doesnt look silkie to me at all. There should be at least a small bump on the head where the crest will come in. Looks cochin. If it has a single comb it is a cochin, even hatchery quality silkies will have a crest and a taller appearance. Try some better shots of the little guy. It is a beauty either way. Also look at the skin around the vent, if it is black then you have a silkie.

hi right now they look porcelain to Me. I would guess not silkie. the silkie babies even have a little head poof like the other post was explaining. does it have black skin? if so maybe could be a silkie. some silkies depending might not have the five toes. it's the genetics. it's very adorable what ever she is! guess you will find out in a couple of months. :) she is very cute!

not all silkies have the head poof. some of mine dont until they get older. and silkies dont have a single comb. They have the walnut? correct me if im wrong there, but i know they dont have single.

what breeds did they have there at tsc?
