day old chick from bantam assortment, what bread?

not all silkies have the head poof. some of mine dont until they get older. and silkies dont have a single comb. They have the walnut? correct me if im wrong there, but i know they dont have single.

what breeds did they have there at tsc?

Silkies are supposed to have a walnut comb, however single can come out in their genetics. I have a buff silkie with a single comb.

they had mixed pullets which was a mix of barred rock and I think other kinds of rocks, assorted bantam straight run, buff orpington pullets, ameraucana straight run, and mallard ducks. allthe other tsc' around me were still waiting for their second shipment as they are supposed to get a different breed everyday just about and never know until they come in when they open.

is she purebred?

I believe she is...I purchased her and 3 others (pullets) from a woman who keeps them for eggs, for 10$. She only had silkies and said she has had them for about 3 years. Her broody was her first silkie a white hen. She was very poofy. My girls aren't. They are probably inbred as she said her hen is broody all the time and she keeps having chicks. I have no idea what color her roo was (she may have more than one). I got 2 partridge, 1 black and my buff. Single comb is recessive. If both parents have walnut combs and are carriers they will produce single comb offspring. Here is a few photos of my buff (not the greatest quality sorry)
