Hi All,
One of my day old Australorps is squinting. Its eyes are half open pretty much all the time (except when sleeping-when they are closed). Now this is the weird part, when its awake, it holds its head up (beak pointing at the heat lamp above (a white light heat lamp)-in other words it is LOOKING DIRECTLY AT THE LIGHT and NOT avoiding it as you might suspect it to if it had some sort of light sensitivity. It opens it's eyes completely when I pick it up and then quickly squints again. The eyes are black, and I don't see any cloudiness or film over the eye. There is no discharge or swelling. Hmmmm.... I'm baffled! Any help or advice would be most appreciated.
