Hello,

We have just completed our first incubation, a very succesffull 21/21 fertilised eggs hatched.

However, one of the chicks is having a problem with its leg, it is holding it up and to the side, I have taken 2 pictures of it to help diagnose, is this spradle leg? When it tries to alk it kinda falls to that side, so is not doing very well at all. What can I do to treat this?

I would really appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Still looking for help with this if possible

It is possible that the chick has a slipped tendon. Cannyou start some chick or baby vitamins and give them orally? Where are you located? That would help to know what products are available. Riboflavin (B2) is the important ingredient of the vitamin you use. Here is some reading on how to tell if you are seeing slipped tendon and what to do:

Squeeze open the beak with finger and thumb and drop it iside the beak one drop at a time, and let her swallow. Younalso can dip her beak into the water for a second, and let her drink.
