I know, I just love them!
I didn't even know what I was bidding on. They just said 5 chicks, and held up this small plastic container with a blob of fuzz all smushed together. I was so excited to see them all alive and scratching around this morning. Hopefully I won't lose any, due to the stress of the sale and everything.
I don't remember my chicks from McMurray being that tiny! The 3 black ones, don't look to be solid black like my other two. These have a little rusty brown shading in the wings and wing feathers. Wonder if they are dark Blues and not blacks? Can't wait to see how they all feather out.

They may be silkies from a mixed-colored pen. Probably partridge x black crosses maybe? I have one like that here at the house. Those chicks are probably around the samesize as cutie pie.

The chicks are doing great. Man, I forgot how much chicks poop. lol. It makes a difference when you go from one to three!

Oh I know, I swear its more than my 30 adults! I've had to clean the brooder out 3 times already.

My brooder is inside the coop and is fully enclosed, so they can't escape, or I am sure they would be lol. They are flying around all over the place in there, playing leapfrog! So cute!
We have them in the house and they flap and fly when we get them out and let them run around.
