Hello, first time poster here! I have a bit of a mystery on my hands… feel like I have a CCL pullet and a cockerel here, but the cockerel’s coloring is playing tricks on me. What do you all think?

The lighter colored one is the one I suspect is a he. But his chipmunk striping isn’t blurry, nor is the eyeliner. “He” does, however, have the bright spot on the head. Last picture is the pullet for reference.

They're both females. The head spot can be present on any barred breed of chick, male or female.

Also of note: the suspected boy already has a visible comb, no tail feathers yet, and no visible wing feathers.

I would really love for both of them to be girls
